AwareHaus
Nightlife will always have its place in queer culture. AwareHaus is building what comes next. They are a nonprofit platform and community for queer folks craving deeper connection with others and themselves, Awarehaus helps people find and host intentional events that nourish creativity, belonging, and self-discovery.
When we partnered with AwareHaus in 2025, the organization was evolving from an event newsletter that aggregated community happenings into a full-fledged events platform. They needed a brand and website that reflected that growth — something with a distinct voice and visual identity that stayed true to their queer, playful roots; more clearly defined roles for members; and a custom events platform that felt both intuitive and scalable.

We began by clarifying AwareHaus’ audience. The platform serves three distinct but connected groups—guests, guides, and hosts (those offering physical spaces). We intentionally chose language that felt relational rather than transactional, reflecting the community’s spirit of shared care and creativity.
Each group’s needs and pathways were defined, then unified under a single, cohesive concept: the haus, a modern reimagining of chosen family and a nod to 1980s ball culture. By refining both the messaging and voice, we positioned AwareHaus as a welcoming, collective-led platform.




We started with wireframes to simplify how guests, guides, and hosts move through the site, clarifying how each engages with the “haus.” From there, we translated those pathways into a Framer build that balances personality with practicality: cheeky headlines, expressive layouts, and an intuitive event system that makes conscious queer connection easy to find and join.
